Former Indian Minister Natwar Singh relates

Indian troops were sent to Sri Lanka by former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi without consulting his Cabinet, alleged Natwar Singh, the former Indian External Affairs Minister in an interview with Headlines Today telecast on Thursday, July 31. In the interview, the former minister opined that Prime Minister Gandhi naively ''trusted LTTE chief V. Prabhakaran and took his word seriously." "Prabhakaran double-crossed everybody including the Prime Minister of India," he said.
