President Mahinda Rajapaksa told an election rally in Mullaitivu yesterday that certain Tamil politicians who are seeking the votes of the people of the North, always sent their children abroad for education. "These people have no regard for your children's well being. On the other hand, I have a responsibility to ensure the well being of all the children in this country and I am fully committed to upholding that responsibility in the future as well to the best of my ability," he told the rally in the former conflict ravaged region in the North.
