Two female undergrads hospitalised

 

Two girls undergoing residential training at the Sippukulum Zoological Institute, Mihintalaya were hospitalized after being ragged by senior students.

The new comers claim that they were subjected to physical ragging by the seniors who had allegedly

entered the ladies hostels forcefully at nights armed with clubs.

According to fresher students, a group of senior students had ragged the female students after entering their hostel on Friday.

As a result of the ragging, two girls have been hospitalized as they were suffering from muscular pain and vomiting. But, the victims had not revealed to the hospital authorities that they were subjected to ragging as they were threatened by seniors not to do so.
