MP Duminda Dissanayake who represents the Sri Lanka Freedom Party’s (SLFP) faction led by former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga said that they do not accept the party’s Acting Chairmanship of Justice Minister Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe.
Speaking to the media yesterday he said that the faction led by former President Maithripala Sirisena has offered this Acting position to someone who has no party membership nor had any contacts with the party until being appointed as the Acting Chairman. He also said that the former President has sold the party on a deal to the Justice Minister.
