Lanka Hospitals inaugurated its new Bariatric Centre recently coinciding with the celebration of surpassing the milestone of 250 successful Bariatric surgeries performed at the hospital.
The Guest-of-Honour at the inauguration, former Sri Lankan Cricket Captain, Arjuna Ranatunga, shared his personal experience with Bariatric surgery at Lanka Hospitals Bariatric Centre. He said, “I spent most of my adult life struggling with obesity, but thanks to Bariatric surgery at Lanka Hospitals Bariatric Centre, I have been able to resolve long-standing health issues and inconveniences. Problems like multiple sports injuries in the spine and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) that led me to seek medical intervention have now been completely resolved.
