Fits Air expands wings from Colombo to Dhaka

Sri Lanka’s only private airline, Fits Air is expanding its wings, adding Colombo-Dhaka direct flights from April 17, 2024. The airline will operate two direct flights per week.

Executive Director of Fits Air, Ammar Kassim said that Bangladesh economy is one of the fastest growing in the world, and they excited to offer competitive prices for business travelers and visitors alike via launching this service

“We anticipate our non-stop service to Dhaka will stimulate bilateral trade and economic growth.”

At present, Fits Air operates to three destinations from Colombo to Dubai, Chennai and the Maldives. With this new route expansion, this will increase to four destinations, and it will contribute immensely to the development of the travel, trade, and tourism industries between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Pvt) Limited said that as the airport operator and facilitator, they are happy to see the significant stride taken by Fits Air to expand regional connectivity with its maiden flight from Colombo to Dhaka.
