A notorious, 33-year-old drug trafficker was yesterday (16) arrested with 526 grams of Ice narcotics in his possession, by the Police Special Task Force (STF), during a raid conducted in the Kandaliyadda Paluwa area in Galwalawatta, Ragama, and handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations, Police said.
During his interrogation, the suspect revealed that he distributes narcotics in this country for ‘Dikpitigoda Lahiru’, living abroad and conducting drug trafficking operations in Sri Lanka, and is the main accomplice of a prominent organised criminal gang member ‘Ganemulle Sanjiva’, currently in Police custody.
The suspect has been previously arrested by the Police on December 6, 2018, with 500 grams of Heroin in his possession.
The PNB is conducting further investigations.
