Easter Attacks: Maithripala has not disclosed anything – Minister

Former President Maithripala Sirisena has not disclosed any information about any citizen of this country or any connection of a citizen of this country to the Easter Sunday attack, Public Security Minister Tiran Alles told Parliament yesterday.

He was a replying a speech on the the Easter Sunday attack debate.”The Easter Sunday attack was debated for eleven days earlier in this Parliament. If everyone wants to find the real truth of this problem, don’t turn this issue into politics.We all need to get together to find the real culprits of this incident.We accept that there have been lapses by the Police. Let’s look at all these things and finish this together. Otherwise these debates will continue.

However, the former President has not revealed anything about a citizen of this country or a relation of a citizen of this country in connection with this attack. Now there is a case pending in the Maligakanda Magistate’s Court regarding this. So I’m not going to talk more about it,”Alles said.

“There has been no disclosure of information from any report that State Intelligence Service Director Major General Suresh Sallay had relations with Saharan Hashim. “We also want to finish these investigations. So we request everyone to help in this,”he said.
