Venerable Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera who was sentenced to four years rigorous imprisonment on Thursday (28) was referred to ‘R’ Ward experienced a chest and stomach pain yesterday (29) and had to be admitted to prison hospital.
Prison hospital doctors had subjected the monk to examination yesterday (29) morning and based on what was revealed regarding the symptoms, he had been warded at the prison hospital. Gnanasara Thera is being treated at Ward No. 4 of the prison hospital. Hospital sources said that he was now recovering.
