In a bid to resuscitate the dwindling state of football in Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka Soccer Masters Association has called for a change in the leadership of the beleaguered Football Federation of Sri Lanka. A press conference convened on Wednesday shed light on the pressing need for a rejuvenated approach towards soccer management in the nation.
Over the past 27 years, the Football Federation of Sri Lanka has found itself entangled in a web of undeperforming, casting a shadow of disappointment over the sport and its ardent supporters. The erstwhile administration’s priorities appeared skewed towards personal gain, leaving the advancement of the Federation and the aspirations of its loyal followers sidelined.
The Soccer Masters Association, has underscored a distressing pattern: the former custodians of the “three musketeers” alliance show a propensity to cling to power for their own benefit, rather than steering football towards a progressive trajectory. In response, a ray of hope has emerged in the form of a young and dynamic individual.
This promising individual brings to the table an illustrious history as a national soccer player, commanding not only reverence but also a profound understanding of the game. Their exceptional managerial skills and entrepreneurial insight further bolster their suitability for the impending role.
