Ananda College Rowing Crew managed to whitewash the Opening Regatta 2024 organized by the Colombo Rowing Club by winning all the men’s events, beating Royal College and St. Thomas’s College, Mt. Lavinia. The racing crews had their full input to win the Gordon Armstrong Trophy after 8 years and won the Vanlangenberg Trophy for the second consecutive year, marking the first time in Ananda College Rowing Crew’s history to win all the men’s events in this regatta. The winning crews are as follows:
● Gordon Armstrong Scull Winner- Ramindu Aryasinghe, 2nd Place – Ichira Sithmal
● Vangenberg Pair Winners- Sandila Sujayana, Yuneth Balasooriya
● Under 14 Scull Winner – Sihas Mandilu, 2nd Place – Mihala Nagamuwa
● Under 14 Double Scull Winners – Sihas Mandilu ,Mihala Nagamuwa.
