The Canadian government support will continue to be provided in the implementation of the development programs in Sri Lanka and also towards the agricultural modernization programs.
In addition the Canadians will also provide support to the small and medium scale farmers. This was disclosed when the High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Eric Walsh and Minister of State for Finance Shehan Semasinghe held a discussion at the Ministry of Finance.
The High Commissioner also said that the Canadian government will continue to support the economic stabilization program in Sri Lanka. Minister of State for Finance Semasinghe said that the Sri Lankan people also showed their commitment towards carrying on the IMF reform agenda to stabilize the country’s economy.
