Karate school captain, school colours, provincial colours and Sri Lanka Schools Colours and Brown Belt Holder and first ever girl to represent her school in Karate on foreign soil Sandeepani Nisansala has brought honour and immence glory to her school Dharmapala Vidyalaya Eheliyagoda and her motherland in the fields of Karate, Cricket, Volleyball and Athletics.

Nisansala who hails from Asgangula, Eheliyagoda was born on 5th November 2001 was admitted to Dharmapala Vidyalaya Primary School in 2007 and when she was in Primary she did not do any sports and when she came upto Grade seven her parents Suranga Manjula and Sujeewa Munasinghe thought that Nisansala should do at least one sport and handed her over to school Karate Coach Ranil Vithana and commenced karate in 2015 and her first attempt was the District Meet where she won a Bronze for Kumite and in the National Schools Meet she won a Bronze in Kata and in the following year at the District Meet she won Golds for Kata and Kumite and in the same year at the Provincial Meet she grabbed Golds in Kata and Kumite and at the 2017 National Schools Meet she won a Gold in Kumite at the under 16 age group and in 2018 at the District Meet she won Golds in Kata and Kumite at the 16/17 age group and at the Provincial she won a Bronze for Kata and a Silver for Kumite and at the Karate all island school games she came upto Best Eight in the under 18 age group and at the same meet she received a certificate for participation in Kumite.

Her final attempt in 2018 was in th National Meet where she won a Bronze and in the following year at the District Meet she won Golds for Kata and Kumite and at the Provincial Meet she won a Gold for Kumite and a Silver for Kata.

With these performances under her belt In 2019 she was selected to represent the Sri Lanka Schools for the Milo International Karate Championship under 21 category held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During her career she has won total of 14 Medals which includes 8 Golds 2 silvers and 4 Bronzes.

In addition to Karate she has represented her school in House Level and in the District and Zonal in Cricket, Athletics, Volleyball and Netball.
