Marking the holy month of Ramadan, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Tehran donated food items to a home for needy children, Keramat Orphanage, a non-profit children’s charity organization in Tehran. On receiving the donation, Manager of the Children’s Home Arezo Salmani thanked the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Iran G.M.V. Wishwanath Aponsu and his staff for their timely support. The donated items included rice, Ceylon tea, cooking oil and sweets.

During the event, Ambassador Aponsu stated that the holy month of Ramadan reminds people to extend a helping hand to those who are in need and that it is an opportunity for the people to engage in charity. He conveyed his best wishes to the children and all Iranian friends on a joyous Eid-Ul-Fitr.
