With the aim of strengthening the sales network through new marketing strategies and training for success in the coming year, the “Sanwardhana Abhiman” National Conference 2024 was held yesterday under the auspices of Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at Water’s Edge.
Among those who participated at the event were Ministers, Members of Parliament, Secretaries of ministries and heads of State institutions, along with the Chairman and CEO of Development Lotteries Board (DLB) Ajith Gunaratne Naragala and its Management.
The DLB has completed its fourth decade, lighting up the lives of Sri Lankans islandwide. It has drawn immense strength through its network of distributors, dealers and sales assistants who have worked hand in hand with the organisation to ensure its success over the years.
This resulted in 2023 becoming the most successful year on record for DLB, achieving the highest net profit of Rs.3.6 billion. That year, it also awarded over Rs.13.4 billion as prizes to the winners. It is pertinent to mention that over 50% of DLB’s revenue is allocated for prizes.
