A woman has drowned while her husband has gone missing while bathing in the Victoria Reservoir at Kumbukkandura in the Teldeniya police area today.
Police said that the deceased is a 22-year-old woman and that her missing husband is 28 years old. Both are residents of Thihariya.
According to police, they were among a group of individuals bathing at the location.
The young woman’s body has been recovered while police and residents in the area have launched a search operation to locate her missing husband.
