The Postal Department has come up with a provision for citizens to generate their own creative postal stamps using their own photographs.
Postmaster General Ruwan Sathkumara, speaking at an event yesterday (6), said that the public can now create postal stamps by using their own photographs and paying a fee of Rs. 2,000. What is unique about these postal stamps depicting one’s own picture is that these stamps can be used as regular stamps in Sri Lanka, according to the Postmaster General.
Sathkumara said that a sheet with 20 stamps will be provided for this fee to each individual who avails of this service.
