A person who had come to visit Ravanaella died day before yesterday (22) after falling down the Ravanaella hill, Police said.
The deceased is Sandaradura Nadira Madhusanka, a 32-year-old resident of No. 172/4, Moragalla, Beruwala. Police said that he had climbed the Ella mountain range day before yesterday morning (22) withanother friend and when he was climbing down from it at around 5.30 in the evening, he had fallen down a precipice.
Police stated that the injured person had died after being admitted to the Wellawaya Base Hospital for treatment. His body is kept at the Wellawaya Hospital Mortuary and further investigations are being conducted.
