The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Board is set to take up for consideration the first review of the 48-month Extended Fund Facility (EFF), arrangement for Sri Lanka on December 12. Sri Lanka secured the US$ 2.9 billion EFF from the IMF, last March.
It is expected that the IMF will provide the second tranche which amounts to about US$ 330 million after the December 12 meeting. This will bring the total IMF financial support disbursed under the arrangement so far to US$ 660 million.
