A book titled ‘Mihidan Nowu Minisa’, a literary triumph of a serving military officer Brig. Ranjan Wijedasa was launched at the Rock House camp of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps under the patronage of Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne.
Former Central Bank Deputy Governor Dr. W. A. Wijewardena delivered the keynote address.
Brig. Wijedasa, an old pupil of Dudley Senanayake Central College, Tholangamuwa, graduated from the Army Command and Staff College, Sri Lanka in 2005.
During his service, Brigadier Wijedasa has held many command, staff and training appointments including Commanding Officer, Armoured Corps Training Centre Commandant and Director Training of the Army.
Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva, former Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, senior officers of the Sri Lanka Army as well as prominent academics, artists and other guests attended.
