Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasinghe yesterday (11) ordered the release of the four suspected Excise officers as it is revealed that the shooting by the Excise officers in Bambalapitiya was a duty-related matter.
The Magistrate ordered the release the suspects as it was revealed that the shooting in question took place in the course of duty.
The shooting was carried out during a raid conducted by the Excise officers at a hotel in Bambalapitiya on August 7.
