The sports event organized by the Leo Club of Royal College with the help of Leo Club of Thurstan College and the Leo’s and Lions concluded with great success at the National Youth Services Council Grounds in Maharagama. This vibrant event showcased a diverse range of sports, including cricket, athletics, basketball, volleyball, netball, swimming, tap rugby, and more, along with a spectacular car meetup featuring over 100 cars.
With 23 schools from the Colombo District and 5 youth clubs participating, the event witnessed a remarkable turnout of over 2000 enthusiastic young athletes.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Sagala Ratnayaka, Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the President as the chief guest.
The Leo Club of Royal College has yet again set a stellar example by successfully organizing this multi-sport event, promoting a healthy and competitive spirit among the youth.
As the sports event came to a close, cheers and camaraderie filled the air, leaving participants and attendees with fond memories of a day well spent.
In conclusion, the Leo Club of Royal College’s sports event stands as a shining example of the positive impact of sports in our society, encouraging teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among the youth. The event was organized under the leadership of Chairman of the Youth Vision team Leo Senula Deelana, coordinated by Leo Lion Binuja Smaranayaka , Leo Shenuka Dissanayaka President Leo Club of Royal College and Leo Yewin Sasindu fro Leo Club of Thurstan College.
