Former State Minister Diana Gamage said that no one can stop her political journey even if she lost her Parliamentary seat due to hate politics. She said that the loss of the Parliamentary seat is a victory of the people engaged in hate politics.
She added that these elements dealt a blow not only on her as a woman but on the entire women population in this country. Speaking at a press conference in Colombo, Gamage said that a 52% in the country
are women in Sri Lanka and this attack was not only aimed at her but the entire women folk in the country. “I am open and spoke the truth frankly. I worked for the people of this land,” she said.
She added that several persons including the Opposition Leader, filed a lawsuit against her and strove to remove her from Parliament. She added that victory of those involved in hate politics is temporary.
