The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), the apex professional body representing the engineering fraternity in the country, is to hold the launch of the Eng. (Dr.) A.C. Visvalingam Annual Award for Most Outstanding Engineer 2004.

The award will recognise an outstanding engineer who has shown exemplary commitment in engineering and who has contributed to Sri Lankan society (and/or globally) through engineering practice, innovations, resourcefulness, good governance, commitment to health, safety, and environmental sustainability, while always adhering to ethical practices.
The launch event of the Eng. (Dr.) A.C. Visvalingam Annual Award for Most Outstanding Engineer 2024 was held on May 7 at the Wimalasurendra Auditorium, IESL Head Office in Colombo.
Launching the official website and presenting a commemorative gift to engineer Lalith Kahatapitiya also took place.
