Sri Lanka National men’s Volleyball team will leave the island today to participate in the CAVA Nations League (Men) Volleyball Championship which will be held at Liaqat Gymnasium, PSB Sports Complex, Islamabad, Pakistan from May 9 to 18.
Deepthi Romesh is the captain of the Lankan team and Channa Jayasekara is the coach. Sri Lanka will meet Kyrgyzstan on May 11 in their first match and followed by the match against host Pakistan on the following day. Six countries namely Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan are participating at the tournament.
