Tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka after averaging over 150,000 each month from November last year dropped to 148,867 in April.
Many attributed this to new increased visa fees and the negative publicity generated from it and also the lean season which is expected to continue for two more months.
Sri Lanka attracted 151,496 tourists in November 2023 and 210,352 in December.
