The 2024 National Pillow Fighting Championship, organised by the Sri Lanka Ethno Sports Federation in collaboration with the Pillow Wrestling Development Committee, will be held at the Wadduwa Police Sports Ground on May 18 and 19 with the aim of bringing the sport of pillow wrestling to international level.
The team that wins the first place in this championship, which is held as a team competition, will get Rs. 30,000 while the second and third places will be awarded Rs.20,000 and Rs.15,000 respectively, along with medals and certificates. Also, the organizers have made efforts to present certificates for the participants
Teams will consist of five players three men and two women with two reserve players, and the duration of each round is three minutes.
If the balance is not tipped, the technical player with more hits will win.
Multiple teams from one sports club can apply, and athletes must be over 18 years old.
