Transport and Highways Ministry’s Planning Director General S.S. Mudalige has been appointed to cover duties of Railways General Manager until the Cabinet appoints a suitable officer for the post of GMR.
The appointment letter related to this appointment made by the Transport and Highways Ministry Secretary Ranjith Rubasinghe was presented by the Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardhana to Mudalige at the Ministry premises.
He will cover the work of the position of Railways General Manager in addition to the post of Director General (Planning) of the Ministry. The GMR post fell vacant due to the sudden death of H.M.K.B. Bandara.
