Navy Commander visits Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya

Navy Commander, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera paid his homage to the Nagadeepa Purana Rajamaha Viharaya on Tuesday (23).

The Navy Commander paid his obeisance to the Chief Incumbent of the Nagadeepa Purana Rajamaha Viharaya and the Chief Sanganayake of the Northern Province, Most Ven. Navadagala Paduma Kiththi Tissa Thera and received his blessings. A statue of Bodhisattva Maitreya was also unveiled to mark the birthday of Most Ven. Navadagala Paduma Kiththi Tissa Thera.

The Navy Commander also inspected the construction progress of a hospital on Nagadeepa Island, which is being built utilizing the manpower of the Navy, for the benefit of the islanders.

Northern Naval Area Commander, Rear Admiral Kanchana Banagoda and a group of senior naval officers were also present.
