Royal College Panadura entered to the final of the Under 19 division 2 Tier B inter schools 2 Day cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday.
Royal College Panadura won on first innings against P. De S. Kularathana College Ambalangoda in the semi final played at Surrey ground Maggona yesterday.
Royal College Panadura scored 236 runs in 67.5 overs for their first innings. Skipper Yasith Fernando scored 116 runs in 119 balls with 3 boundaries and 6 sixes. Sadew Wijerathna (40) and Johan Pathirana (25) helped to build their innings. Janindu Chamika claimed 4 wickets and Dhanushka Madhusanka claimed 3 wickets.
P. De S. Kularatne College Ambalangoda bowled out for 220 runs in 82.5 overs. Ravishan Nethsara, Sri Lanka Youth cap and skipper of P. De S. Kularatne College Ambalangoda scored valuable 136 runs in 184 balls with 8 boundries and a six. P. De S. Kularathna College were short only 16 runs. Kaveesha Perera claimed 4 wickets for 47 runs and Sethika Dilmith claimed 3 wickets for 70 runs.
Royal College Pandura will meet Maris Stella College Thimbirigaskatuwa in the final.
