Ishan Kahandawalaarachchi and Maya Vitarana are being felicitated for their amazing achievements at the British School in Colombo (BSC). Both students have done a lot for their school.
As they finish their last year at BSC, Ishan and Maya, who are the Head Prefects, have done a great job of keeping the school’s high standards. They’ve not only focused on their studies but also excelled in other activities.
Ishan has been involved in swimming, cricket, and football at BSC since he was four. Because of his dedication and leadership, he’s been made Games Captain and Swimming Captain.
Maya has been equally busy. She’s been the captain of the school’s football team, part of the rowing team, and Head of Choir. She’s even won Gold Medals at the 2022 and 2023 Rowing Nationals.
Both Ishan and Maya believe in balancing their studies and extracurricular activities. They’re also passionate about making a positive impact in their communities. Even though they’re finishing school, Ishan and Maya are determined to keep doing good things and making a difference wherever they go next. (SJ)
