Yesterday was April 21st. It was Easter Sunday. Since April 21st in 2019, the other word connected to Easter Sunday is Sri Lanka. It is not because of something good and positive. It is all about evil. But the most pathetic situation arrived after the Easter Sunday suicide bomb attack series. It was purposely created by certain individuals and groups in order to gain political and other advantages.
At the moment the investigations on this incident are going on smoothly. Justice will be done at the end of the investigation and the Court procedure just like it was done for all the other past incidents. It is because this is not the only terror attack that took place here in Sri Lanka. Although certain religious leaders, individuals and groups try their best to tell the world that Easter Sunday attack was the one and only attack that took place here in Sri Lanka, they cannot delete Sri Lankan history and they cannot prevent the people in the world finding out about Sri Lankan history.
The LTTE hijacked a bus May 14, 1985 and entered Anuradhapura. The LTTE cadres drove to the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and gunned down Buddhist Bhikkhus, Buddhist Bhikkhunis and civilians as they were worshiping Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. The LTTE cadres massacred 146 Sinhalese men, women and children in total, in Anuradhapura during the attack.
On January 25,1998, the LTTE exploded a massive truck bomb inside the Temple of the Tooth premises, which was to be the centre of the Independence Day celebrations. Three suicide LTTE Black Tigers drove an explosive laden truck along the Raja Veediya, firing at soldiers manning road blocks around the place, crashed through the entrance and detonated the bomb around 6:10 am, local time. Two explosions were heard. The truck contained 300 to 400 kg of high explosives. 16 people, including the 3 attackers and a 2 year old infant were killed in the incident. Over 25 people, including 4 women, a monk and a Police officer were injured.
The Easter Sunday suicide bomb attack series has become a conspiracy only for certain Sri Lankan individuals with hidden agendas. Unfortunately there are religious leaders among them. This attack has not become a conspiracy to anyone else in the world, especially for the loved ones of 45 foreign nationals who got killed during the attack and those nations. Eleven (11) Indians, eight UK citizens, six Chinese people, five Switzerland nationals, three Denmark citizens, three Netherland nationals, three US citizens, two Australian citizens, two Saudi Arabian nationals, two Spanish nationals, two Turkey nationals, one Bangladeshi citizen (Zayan Chowdhury, the 8-year-old grandson of a prominent Bangladeshi politician), one Japanese citizens and one Portugal national were among them. Those nations never told it was a conspiracy.
The funniest part is the reason pointed out by those individuals to launch the conspiracy. They say it was to win the Presidential Election held in November 2019. On February 10th in 2018, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) led by the former President and the former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa came first by winning 44 percent of the votes and securing the most number of seats and local authorities. On February 10 in 2018 the SLPP very clearly obtained the people’s mandate by winning a leading election and showing the entire world the number of votes and seats they obtained with the votes of the people. This is a crystal clear indicator that the SLPP won the entire country and the people on February 10 in 2018 one year BEFORE the Easter Sunday suicide bomb attack series and not after the bomb attack.
There was nothing more to do after the islandwide victory of the SLPP in 2018 in order to win the 2019 November Presidential Election. At least the SLPP did not need to spend even a cent to win the 2019 Presidential Election because the entire country knew very well that it was the SLPP candidate who would win the 2019 Presidential Election for sure. In addition to this May 01st in 2017, millions of SLPP supporters gathered at the Galle Face and showed the entire world with whom they stand with.
All the above facts and figures are in addition to the most important fact. Some suicide bombers were the sons of one of the strong supporters and a National List member of one small political party with just three percent representation. The hilarious thing is now this political party promises some religious leaders to investigate the incident properly if they come into power. Luckily all local media and a lot of local politicians now remind the country constantly that some suicide bombers were the sons of this strong supporter and the National List member of this specific minor political party with a three percent representation. Otherwise Sri Lankans forget this fact or they do not know it at all. This is the typical nature of Sri Lankans. One thing is clear. Mother Nature will do the justice for the real conspirators who were born after the attack before she takes care of criminals who planned and executed the Easter Sunday suicide bomb attack series. We will witness it for sure soon.
