The Institute of Sri Lankan Photographers (ISLP) recently concluded a successful three-day residential photography workshop (April 8th-10th) at the National Arts Center in Kundasala.
Fifty aspiring and established photographers participated in the intensive program. The workshop combined a series of lectures by renowned photography experts with practical training sessions.
Lectures covered diverse topics including Street Photography, Wildlife Photography, navigating photography competitions, and obtaining the NVQ Level 4 qualification in photography.
Renowned photographers Ravi Ranasinghe, Densil Fernando, Janaka C. Jayasekara, Pandula Bandara, and Shantha Gunaratne shared their expertise with the participants.
“One of the key objectives of this workshop,” stated ISLP President Densil Fernando, “is to empower photographers to capture the beauty of Sri Lanka through their lenses. We envision these captivating images being shared online, attracting tourists and contributing to the country’s foreign exchange earnings.”
