Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya and Good Shepherd Convent Kotahena will go head-to-head in the Under-20 All Island Schools ‘A’ Division Basketball Tournament finals. This exciting match is organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association and will take place at Holy Family Convent courts in Bambalapitiya today (Friday) starting at 3 PM.
On the same court, St. Joseph’s Girls School Nugegoda and Lyceum International School Wattala will compete for third place. And in the Boys category, S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia will face off against Wesley College for the men’s consolation final for the third place.
But the big anticipation is for the men’s final happening on April 21 (Sunday) at Darley Road. Rival schools St. Peter’s College and St. Joseph’s College will battle it out starting at 3 PM.
To get to the finals, Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya triumphed over St. Joseph’s Girls School Nugegoda in the first semi-final, while Good Shepherd Convent Kotahena defeated Lyceum International School Wattala to secure their spot in the girls finals.
In the Boys category, St. Peter’s College won against S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia in the first semi-final, while St. Joseph’s College beat Wesley College in the second semi-final.
This exciting tournament started with group stage matches on April 7 in various venues across Colombo, with schools from all over the country participating.
