Royal College Colombo scored 69 runs for one wicket against Wesley College Colombo on day one of the relegation round match of the Under 19 division 1 Tier A inter schools 2 Day cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket at Campbell Place yesterday.
Wesley College Colombo were bowled out for 276 runs in 85.4 overs. Lithum Senula (76), Jethon Wyman (50), Linal Subasinghe (36), Nilupul Liyanage (30) and Sanithu Amarasinghe (24) helped to build their innings. Yenula Bandara claimed 3 wickets. Nethwin Dharmarahne and Ramiru Perera claimed 2 wickets each.
Match will continue today for day two.
Winner of this match will secure a place in the same division and the loser of the match will be demoted to division One tier B tournament from the next season 2024/25.
