DIAS – SRINATH PRIANTHA passed away peacefully on 01.04.2024. Dearly beloved husband of Sarah,​ cherished father of Snehath and Shenath,​ loving father-in-law of Anushi and Sonali,​ doting grandad of Jaden,​ Javon Caleb and Ruth,​ loving brother of late Priyalal and of Devika. Remains lie at Mahinda Funeral Parlour,​ Mt. Lavinia for viewing on Thursday from 9.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m. Funeral Service at 4 p.m. at the Moratumulla Methodist Church followed by burial at the Church Cemetery.         023353


 

Mr. Vijayaratnam Ratnaraja

Vijayaratnam Ratanaraja, a beloved husband, father grandfather, and brother passed away on April 1st, 2024, at the age 86. Born on December 9th 1938, in Myliddy, he leaves behind a legacy of dedication and love.

Ratnaraja was a retired employee of the Kankesanthurai Cement factory, where his hard work and commitment were renowned among colleagues. Beyond his professional endeavors, he served as the wise chairman of the town council in Kankesanthurai, Demonstrating his passion of community welfare.

Currently residing in Canada and Muttakuli, Sri Lanka. Ratnaraja was the beloved husband of the late Sivaneswary and Suguneswary. He as the cherished son of the late Vijayratnam and late Selvamani and the devoted son-in-low of the late Markandu and late Kulakandu.

Ratnaraja will be foundly remembered as a loving father to Premraj, Vijitharaj, Senthilraj, Vijayajeevan, Krishnaraj, Kirtharaj, Sritharaj, Jeevaraj, Vijaya, and Karuna. He was also a respected father-in-law to Janaki, Amutha, Vathana, Bhavisha, venuja, Anushka, Dhinanthari, Senthuran, and Prakash.

His memory will be cherished by his grandchildren Amaran, Piriyan, Vyshanvi, Lavanya, Ulasan, Bowrnamy, Sugnesh, Vijay, Kayal, Yuvan, Aaran, Ashwin, Talir, Theodore, AND Vincent.

Ratnaraja is survived by his siblings Ratnaraji, late Navaratnaraja, Subasratnajothy, Vijayarani, and Vijayaraja.

He was a beloved brother-in-law to the late Yogeswari, the late Someswaranantham, Thangeswaranantham, Raguneswary, Premanantham, and the late Vijayanantham.

Ratnaraja’s remains will be available for viewing in Colombo on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, from 9.00 am to  6.00 pm at Mahinda Florists, 591, Galle Rd, Mount Lavinia, Colombo. His body will then be transported to Kankesanturai and will be available for viewing on Saturday, April 2024, from 8 am onwards at Alvar Lane, Kankesanturai (Opposite Thalsevana Holiday Resort & Restaurant) on Sunday April 7th 2024, at 8.00 am final rituals will commence, and Ratnaraja’s remains will be taken to Myliddy Cemetery at 10 am for cremation.
