Special Commodity Levy Act to be suspended from Next year

The Special Commodity Levy Act will be suspended from 01 January 2025, said the Finance State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya.

He said that, the government intends to introduce new legislation aimed at safeguarding both consumers and local manufacturers.
