Former SJB MP Mujibur Rahuman said yesterday (14) at the Opposition Leader’s Office that statements made by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna about the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are a puzzle.
The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna has conflicting stories regarding the economy. The National People’s Force (National People’s Power) sometimes says that it will not work with the International Monetary Fund. Another group says that they are working with the International Monetary Fund. This is a conundrum for us too.
A group that opposed the programme of the International Monetary Fund since the beginning was the National People’s Power. They have conflicting stories about the economy. Samagi Jana Balavegaya has declared that it is ready to work with the International Monetary Fund. They have also said that the SJB is not ready to agree to everything that the International Monetary Fund says.
