A delegation from Indian renewable energy companies affiliated to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), that visited the Power and Energy Ministry last morning, drew attention to the power and energy sector development opportunities including electricity sector reforms, investment opportunities, legal framework, offshore wind development, green hydrogen roadmap, and interconnectivity.
The delegation, which is in Sri Lanka on a three day visit, has had cordial talks with Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara and heads of the Ministry.
At the discussions attention was drawn on renewable energy policy and plans of Sri Lanka, ongoing projects, electricity sector reforms, investment opportunities, legal framework, offshore wind development, green hydrogen roadmap and a few others.
Senior management and high ranking officials of ACME, ReNew, Adani Green Energy, PTC India, Jackson Group, Welspun New Energy, Sterlite Power, Nucleus Consulting and Gasification, Shakthi Pumps Limited, Suzlon Group participated in the meeting, besides representatives of CII and Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka also participated.
