The state-owned supermarket chain, ‘Lanka Sathosa’ has reduced the prices of four essential food commodities in order to provide relief to consumers.
Lanka Sathosa announced that the price reduction will be effective from yesterday (8).
Accordingly, the price of Lanka Sathosa Milk Powder, 400 grams, which was previously sold at Rs. 1,060 has been reduced by Rs. 125 and will be sold at Rs. 935.
A kilo of dry chilies which was previously sold at Rs. 1,190 has been reduced by Rs. 15 to Rs. 1,175.
White Kekulu rice which was sold at Rs. 200 per kilo has been reduced by Rs. 5 and will be sold at Rs. 195.
White sugar, 1 kg, which was previously sold at Rs. 275, has been reduced by Rs. 3 and will be sold at Rs. 272.
Lanka Sathosa is the only state-owned supermarket chain having its outlets located across the country which offer all essential consumer items at discounted prices.
