The Sri Lanka Chamber of Medical Devices Industry (SLCMDI) CEO Forum 2024 was held on February 22, at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo, the event was graced by Minister of Health, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, as the Chief Guest.

SLCMDI President Pradeep Amarawardena delivered a compelling address, highlighting both the incredible opportunities and the challenging landscape within the healthcare sector. His call for unity among stakeholders to enhance the health of our citizens resonated deeply with all attendees.

Minister Pathirana, in response, expressed his wholehearted support for the Chamber’s initiatives, emphasizing his commitment to collaborate closely with SLCMDI under his administration.

The event drew a high-profile audience, including senior officials from the Ministry of Health, SPC, MSD, NMRA and esteemed representatives from international organisations such as the WHO, German Chamber of Commerce, Indian High Commission and Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association.

Additionally, ‘C’ level officials from leading medical device companies in Sri Lanka were also in attendance.

The forum served as a platform for fruitful discussions, fostering partnerships and paving the way for impactful initiatives aimed at advancing healthcare in Sri Lanka.
