D.S.S. and Mahanama secure victories

D. S. Senanayake College Colombo and Mahanama College Colombo were victorious in their Under-19 Inter Schools Traditional Cricket matches yesterday. D. S. Senanayake College Colombo beat Wesley College Colombo by 9 wickets, and Mahanama College Colombo beat St. Benedict’s College Kotahena by 5 wickets.

In other matches, Rusanda Gamage (St. Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya) and Amitha Sandeepa (St. Anthony’s College, Wattala) excelled against St. Joseph’s Vaz College, Wennappuwa and Devapathiraja College, Rathgama. Manuja Chanthuka of St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa, claimed 7 wickets for 40 runs against S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia. However, some matches were drawn.
