Their efforts led to the establishment of three new meet records.

Karunaratne competed in the Under-14 Girls Discus Throw category and set a new meet record with a remarkable throw of 34.88 metres. This outstanding performance earned her the gold medal and the distinction of being the sole girl to establish a new meet record on the tournament’s first day.
