Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe yesterday issued an Extraordinary Gazette Notification revoking of the Stabilization Committee of Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) under Section 31 of the Sports Act No. 25 of 1973.
“The Special Gazette Notice No. 2327/07 dated 11.04.2023 issued for suspending the registration of Sri Lanka Rugby, with immediate effect, and appointing a Stabilization Committee to continue the activities of the association as a temporary measure, is hereby revoked,” it was announced.
The Stabilizing Committee Members were Chula Dharmadasa (Chairman), Shanaka Ranasinghe (Secretary), Thusitha Peiris (Treasurer), Kishan Muzafer (Member), Subhash Jayathilaka (Member), Pradeep Basnayake (Member), Savantha De Saram (Member), Damith Vitharanage (Member) and Brigadier Sunil Ranasinghe (Member).
