The 93rd National Day celebration of Saudi Arabia took place on September 25, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., under the patronage of Khalid Hamood Al Qahtani, the Saudi Ambassador, at the iconic Galle Face Hotel in Colombo.

Environment Minister, Naseer Ahamed, joined the event as a special representative on behalf of Sri Lanka.

The ceremony commenced with the Ambassador and Special Representative Minister Naseer Ahamed officially inaugurating it by cutting the cake. In attendance were dignitaries including Ministers, Members of Parliament, the Opposition Leader, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Ambassadors from other important countries in Sri Lanka, and special invitees.

Saudi Arabia is rapidly emerging as a regional superpower in the Middle East, thanks to the visionary leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, along with their prudent economic policies. Saudi Arabia’s ambitious projects, including Vision 2030, Expo 2030, Neom, The Line, Mukaab, Logistics, and Tourism, underscore its relentless pursuit of development and progress. Even global superpowers recognize the pivotal role Saudi Arabia plays in maintaining global economic growth.

Saudi Arabia’s globally acclaimed humanitarian initiatives provide significant assistance to countries worldwide, totalling billions of dollars to support nations in times of need. Sri Lanka has been a beneficiary of this generous aid.

During the National Day celebration, the Saudi Arabian embassy showcased the nation’s economic progress, humanitarian endeavours, and robust diplomatic ties with Sri Lanka through an informative documentary film. In his speech, the Ambassador elaborated on the various forms of assistance provided and the importance of the Saudi-Sri Lanka diplomatic relationship. Minister Naseer Ahamed also addressed the audience, shedding light on the diplomatic ties between the two nations. The event left all participants in awe of Saudi Arabia’s remarkable progress.

The Ambassador extended a warm welcome to all attendees and hosted a dinner in honour of those who participated in the event.

M.H. Shehuddeen Madani Director, Al Hikma Welfare Association Colombo, a special invitee for the event said “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ambassador Khalid bin Hamood Al Qahtani for the honour, having invited us as special guests to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s 93rd National Day. I pray to Almighty Allah for the well-being and prosperity of the custodians of the two Holy Mosques, the King of Saudi Arabia, the Crown Prince, and Ambassador, as well as for the continued smooth and prosperous life of all the Saudi people”.

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any techniques to help prevent content from being ripped off? I’d really appreciate it.
