Two suspects surrendered to the Malaysian Police over the murder of three Sri Lankans in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur last week, according to foreign media.

These two suspects surrendered after the Malaysian Police launched investigations into the triple homicide which took place last Saturday (22).

The Sri Lankan High Commission in Kuala Lumpur stated that the two suspects who have surrendered are also Sri Lankans. Three Sri Lankan men were found dead with their hands and feet tied and their heads covered in plastic inside a house on Jalan Perhentian Kampung Kovil Hilir, Sentul, Kuala Lumpur on September 22.

According to The New Straits Times reports, hearing of screams believed to be from a fight led to the discovery of the bodies that were found stacked inside the storeroom of the house, with one of them naked.

The Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Allaudeen Abdul Majid said that Police received a call from the public informing of a fight at a private residence on a four-storey shop house lot at around 11 pm in the night.

The Police Chief said that after receiving the call, the Police mobile patrol vehicle (MPV) team arrived at the house situated on the second floor and carried out an inspection until they found the bodies of the three men.

While inspecting the house they found a Sri Lankan couple in their 40s who were renting the house and they were detained to help out with the investigation, Majid said.

During the press conference held at the Sentul Police Headquarters, the Police Chief said that one of the three victims involved is the son of a married couple in his 20s. According to initial investigations it was found that during the fight, two foreign men were also inside the house but they have managed to escape from the place where the murder was carried out.

The house where the bodies were discovered has five rooms that housed the couple involved, their children and two tenants who were also killed in the incident, the Police Chief said.

According to the investigations it was revealed that two Sri Lankan suspects who live in Klang, Selangor, came to the house to visit the couple they had known for the past six months.

They are said to have been living in the house for the past two days. Based on these findings, Kuala Lumpur Police believe that this was an organised and well-planned out crime that was carried out.

Several marks and bruises were found on one of the victims and there have not been any visible signs of injury on the other two bodies and the Kuala Lumpur Police have also seized a knife believed to be one of the murder weapons, Majid said.

The bodies of the three Sri Lankan victims have been sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur National Institute of Forensic Medicine to conduct post-mortem and the married couple arrested who are unemployed arrested for questioning, have been remanded for seven days since yesterday (26) until September 29 to help in carrying out further investigations according to Section 302 of the Penal Code, the Police Chief said.
