Maligawatta Police said a person was injured and admitted to the Colombo National Hospital in a shooting that was aimed at a motorcycle servive station in front of the Maligawatta Pension Department.
The owner of the business, Dinesh Pradeep, aged about twenty-six, and a resident of Mihindu Senpura, Dematagoda, has been admitted to the hospital.
Two brothers of the same family started a motorcycle service station yesterday (1) morning and while the first motorcycle was being cleaned at that location, two unknown persons who came from a motorcycle opened fire.Police said that the shooting was done using a pistol.
A hospital spokesperson said that the injured person has been admitted to the antibiotic unit of the Colombo National Hospital.
The police stated that the two brothers are close associates of Neville, who is hiding in the country and was involved in many crimes in the Maligawatta area. Maligawatta police are investigating.
