“The Tamil Community does not like Sajith Premadasa. Hence, he is not suitable for the Presidency”, said C. V. Wigneswaran, responding at a news briefing in Jaffna, on the current political situations. He said, “Even though the 13th Amendment to the Constitution is not one of the best solutions to the North-East problem, Sajith Premadasa will not speak anything about it. Without resolving the North-East problem, no one can say the country can be developed. It is an illusion. Sajith Premedasa will not make a statement for certain, on this.”
Wignesweran said the President is now preparing to address Parliament on the 13th Amendment and its vested powers. “The Tamil Community is looking forward to it and waiting for it “he added.
Though the citizens in the South are in fear of the 13th Amendment, it shouldn’t be like that. Because of this, there are various psychoses building up, he pointed out.
“Although the Sinhala language was introduced 700 years after the introduction of Buddhism, historians even distorted history to hide this fact” he said.
