The case filed against the President of the Presidential Task Force ‘One Country, One Law’ and Bodu Bala Sena leader, Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera for making a statement at a press conference that violated inter-ethnic and religious harmony was yesterday fixed for November 10 by the Colombo High Court.
The case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Aditya Patabendige. Meanwhile, Former Minister Rishad Bathuideen who has been named as a witness in the case informed the court that he was unable to appear before the Court due to sudden illness.
The case has been filed by the Attorney General under two counts following a complaint lodged by Azad Sally against a controversial statement made by Ven. Gnanasara Thera at a press conference on March 30, 2016.
