MGM Healthcare, Med Tourism Int’l launch ‘MGM Healthcare Connect – Sri Lanka’

MGM Healthcare, a multi-speciality quaternary care hospital located in the heart of Chennai, Tamil Nadu has announced the launch of, ‘MGM Healthcare Connect – Sri Lanka’. The centre has been launched in association with Med Tourism International with the aim to provide advanced healthcare services in Sri Lanka.

The connect centre was inaugurated by Dr. G. Wijesuriya – Deputy Director General – Health (Ministry of Health Sri Lanka), Dr. Prashanth Rajagopalan, Director, MGM Healthcare and Dr. K.R. Balakrishnan, Director – Institute of Heart and Lung Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support, MGM Healthcare in the presence of Dr. Nilmini Withana, Chief Advisor of Med Tourism International (Pvt) Ltd and Viraj Senanayake, Managing Director Med Tourism International (Pvt) Ltd, Prassanna. S. Vice President, Healthcare Services, MGM Healthcare, Senu Sam, CEO Mykare Health.

As part of the pilot project, MGM Healthcare Connect – Sri Lanka is elated to introduce ‘Lions Little Hearts,’ a noble endeavour aimed at supporting paediatric cardiac patients in Sri Lanka. In collaboration with Aishwarya Trust, Chennai and Lions Club International District 306-2 (Sri Lanka), MGM Healthcare Connect – Sri Lanka plans to fund hundred paediatric cardiac surgeries as part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. The program is supported by Med Tourism International and Mykare Health.

MGM Healthcare Director Dr. Prashanth Rajagopalan said; “We are honoured to launch MGM Healthcare Connect – Sri Lanka, in partnership with Med Tourism International.

Through this shared vision we aim to provide advance healthcare to people who are seeking medical help in Sri Lanka. This collaboration with Aishwarya Trust and Lions Club International District 306-2 (Sri Lanka), is a small step taken by us to provide 100 free paediatric cardiac surgeries to children with congenital heart conditions though ‘Lions Little Hearts’ programme.”

Joining forces with MGM Healthcare Connect – Sri Lanka, Dr. Nilmini Withana, Chief Advisor of Med Tourism International (Pvt) Ltd, emphasizes the significance of this collaboration. “We believe that everyone, deserves access to high-quality healthcare. Through this initiative, we strive to bridge the gap and provide life-saving medical interventions to deserving paediatric patients in Sri Lanka.”
