Trinity College Kandy, defending joint champion, will meet Rahula College Matara in the quarter final of the Under 17 division One inter schools cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket at De Mazenod College Kandana today.
76 teams participated in the league based into 14 groups in the first round. Trinity College Kandy advanced to the second round as the group champion in the first round. Rahula College Matara advanced to the second round as the group champion in the first round.
Trinity College Kandy beat Bandaranayake MMV Gampaha and Rahula College Matara beat Gurukula College Kelaniya in the second round.
Trinity College Kandy beat Kingswood College Kandy and Rahula College Matara beat Taxila Central College Horana in the pre quarter final round.
Trinity College Kandy will be led by Dimantha Mahavithana and Rahula College Matara will be led by Akash Ambepitiya.
